The metamorphosis in the nature of international conflicts and the transition from "hard power" to "soft power" has led to the emergence of a complex phenomenon termed "Lawfare". In this paradigm, international law is exploited not as a tool for the peaceful settlement of disputes, but as a strategic weapon to undermine legitimacy and impose political costs on target states. The main issue of this research is to analyze the multilayered mechanisms of this warfare in asymmetric conflicts, which have expanded beyond judicial abuses to novel economic and technological realms. Using a descriptive-analytical method and library resources, this study examines the genealogy of the concept of Lawfare and scrutinizes its modern dimensions. The findings indicate that this phenomenon has evolved into a "Hybrid Strategy"; where hostile actors, by combining "Universal Jurisdiction" in courts, "Economic Terrorism" via sanctions, "Cyber Warfare" in the gray zone, and utilizing Artificial Intelligence and environmental standards (Eco-Lawfare), seek to create "strategic paralysis" and "delegitimize" independent states. It is concluded that countering this networked threat requires a transition from passivity to adopting an "active legal defense" strategy, reciprocal documentation of crimes, and the utilization of smart legal diplomacy..
